Typical products, but not limited to the ones mentioned are all chemical products, liquids, powdered material or any other substance that may be suspected of containing a product regulated by CONAPRED.
In order to receive such approval, a copy of a MSDS or a technical sheet indicating in detail the components and quantities in case of non hazardous materials is required and needs to be submitted to SACO upon booking.
It is strictly prohibited to mix medicines and medical supplies together with cargo that requires a CONAPRED approval in the same loading unit. Containers containing both commodities will be rejected and returned to origin.
Failure to comply with these rules will entail a penalty of USD 50,000.00 additionally to the return costs of the container which will be to the booking party’s account. Import licenses of the consignees will furthermore be revoked for a period of at least six months. |
