FCL Import & Export - Schedule Change

Dear valueable customers,

due to the vessel accident in the Suez Canal , there are currently delays in all shipping traffic,
which also affect the handling of pre carriage and on-carriage.

The vessel "Ever Given" had blocked the canal between 23rd of March to 29th of March 2021 while lying across.
Passing through was not possible in the usual way during this time.
Even if the canal has been navigable again since the end of last week and the accident site has been passable, there are still drastic shifts in ship departures and arrivals in Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Wilhelmshaven, Rotterdam and Antwerp.

Under all given circumstances our colleagues will consider any restraints as best as possible.

The shipping accident is now compounding the already existing delays that the entire transport chain has had to contend with in recent months due to the Corona crisis.
Should you have any questions , our colleagues will be happy to help.

We ask you to note that any costs related to the ship accident cannot be borne by SACO and we thank you for your understanding.
We will also not assume any liability for costs resulting from the spread of the Corona Virus (Covid 19).
This concerns demurrage, demurrage/detention, storage fees, missing and lost freight as well as waiting times caused by disruptions or delays in the linking of all logistical processes from the supplier to the recipient.
This also applies to personnel restrictions, illness related absences and quarantine measures
that arise in connection with the Corona Virus (Covid 19).
