Export LCL Ghana - Implementation Smart Port Note (SPN)
Dear Valued Customer,
As per Bill of Lading date February,1st 2026 Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) requires a Smart Port Note (SPN) for all cargoes to be imported and transshipped into/via Ghana. Shipments without SPN can not be imported and will be blocked from clearance by the customs authorities. Subsequent certification may result in fines, inspections and delays.
The SPN needs to be issued prior to shipping at the port of loading. We understand that a SPN is required for each HBL. When SACO is instructed to arrange the SPN, please provide us with the following documents prior to cut off:
-Export CustomsDeclaration
-Commercial Invoice
-PackingList
-Bill of Lading
-Freight Invoice
-Contact details of cnee(phone and email address)
Fines may occur if any incorrect document/information has been submitted.
