Export LCL - Handling fee nonhaz batteries
Dear valued customer,
the increasing amount of vessel incidents involving batteries over the last years led to more restrictions by the shipping lines such as segregation rules, documentation and separate declaration not only for hazardous batteries but also for harmless batteries. As a result, we will be introducing a surcharge covering the expense of compliance for all harmless batteries such as alkaline, nickel cadmium battery (NiCd), nickel-metalhydride (NiMH), lead-acid battery, button cell, flat battery and lithium batteries under SP.
In compliance with the carrier restrictions it will ber equired to specifically flag harmless batteries during booking procedures on our website.
Handling fee nonhaz batteries: EUR 75,00 per shipment
