Export LCL - Update on the strike on the US East & Gulf Coast
Dear Valued Customers,
we would like to inform you that the anticipated strike by the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) came into effect on October 1st. This strike is expected to significantly affect all ports along the US East and US Gulf Coasts.
Due to this situation, ocean carrier and other parties have announced additional costs related to the disruptions caused by the strike. Please be advised that, according to the current status, for our export shipments from/via Germany to the US East and Gulf Coasts, all costs associated with the strike will be charged at destination on a collect basis.
