Fumigation (IPPC) mandatory	✓
- Fumigation specials	Any solid wood packaging must bear valid IPPC stamps. IPPC stamps must be placed well visible on the wood and may not be covered by e.g. foil. Weathered, incomplete or badly visible stamps will not be accepted by the US authorities. Any solid wooden elements which are loose or only fixed with e.g. straps must bear IPPC stamps. Wood elements that are not glued, screwed or nailed are considered as loose. If wood packaging consists of solid wood packing and plywood, the IPPC stamp must be necessarily placed on the solid wood elements. Untreated or incorrectly marked wood packaging: Will be sent back to origin and can be subject to fines. Additionally please note that it generally makes sense to mark solid wood packaging with more than one IPPC stamp.

Customs clearance at destination	DDP shipments to all U.S. destinations except cross-border destinations must be approved prior to booking. Signed POA, customs documents and ISF information is mandatory and must be provided until cargo closing date.
Possible penalties / fines	Missing AMS, ISF or eManifest filings can cause hight penalties as well as holds of the entire container.
Special requirements / information	ISF 10 2 filing (Importer Security Filing) is mandatory for all shipments imported into the USA by vessel and must be filed by importers 24 hours prior loading at port of origin. The booking party is responsible for making sure that someone takes care of the ISF at the destination.

In case your shipment contains non-DG batteries, especially lithium-ionen batteries under special provisions (e.g. SP188) etc., please notify us accordingly to ensure smooth handling of your booking.
Please be informed, that we may ask you to submit additional information e.g., MSDS, test report, etc.
In light of a spate of incidents involving Battery shipments, carriers have strengthened their cargo acceptance policy for shipments containing non-DG Batteries to ensure safe transport.
All consequences and costs in case of non-observance will be debited to the booking customer.
